Where to Stay
We're excited to have you visit the city that we've called home for almost four years! The city is referenced by its quadrants - separated by the Willamette River and Burnside St.
This conveniently creates a NW, SW, NE, and SE. Our wedding venue is in NW, and we lived in NW while we lived in the city. SW is mostly comprised of the city's "downtown", and NE and SE have a ton of hip neighborhoods that would better align with what you imagine Portlandia to be like.
Here are some accommodations that we're familiar with:
The Woodlark (SW)
Stay in the same hotel as Megan and Gautam for the weekend! Situated in downtown, with great coffee and bars downstairs.
Inn at Northrup Station (NW)
Closest stay to the venue, ideally situated between Slabtown and Nob Hill neighborhoods. Gautam and Megan have inhaled the fumes of their patio tiki lamps on many a run in the past.
Silver Cloud Hotel (NW)
Also near to the venue, but not particularly walkable to other attractions in Northwest Portland.
Canopy by Hilton (NW)
Where Gautam and Megan stayed on their first visit to Portland to tour apartments.
The Moxy Portland (SW)
Fun downtown stay with a food hall on the bottom floor. Fun fact: Gautam and Megan have stayed at this hotel chain in both New York and Seattle.
Jupiter Next (Central - on Burnside)
Located in Central Eastside for easy access to all areas of the city. Also with a hip bar on the bottom floor.
Kennedy School (NE)
A more eclectic stay in a converted elementary school - your stay includes access to their soaking pool and movie theatre.
Airbnb
Airbnb's located throughout all of Portland can be a great option for larger groups or families.
